As soon as I saw the challenge at Inkspirational: XOXO, I knew I had the perfect die. Once I got it out, I realized that it would make a great valentine for my grandson. Not girly, not cutesy—but heartfelt.

I die cut the Simon Says die, XO Border, in three colors and lined them up on an A2 white card base. I had a little gold heart left over from a previous project and added it to the middle XOXO pattern with some dimensional tape.

The sentiment is from Simon Says Love You Greetings, gold embossed on black and die cut with My Favorite Things Itty Bitty Strips.
In addition to Inkspirational, I’m also sending this to The Paper Players where the theme challenge is Love Is In the Air.

I’ll be back shortly with more valentines. Have a great day!
Karen your xoxo die makes a great repeating pattern; perfect for a clean and simple card that is elegant without being fussy. Thanks for sharing with us over at The Paper Players this week!
Oh my! This is fabulous for anyone, not just your grandson. The die is fantastic and I like the way you’ve repeated it in such strong colours. That tiny gold heart is so sweet and works in well with the gold embossed sentiment. Love this! Thank you for sharing with us at The Paper Players. 🙂
Karen, I just love your XOXO die. The red, black and pink trio is so fun! Thank you for joininng my challenge at The Paper Players this week!
It’s brilliant, and I am sure he’ll love it.
So cute & I think your Grandson will treasure. IMO, the best thing about the xox die is that the xo’s are attached to one another, so no gluing down tiny fussy individual pieces – that’s a win in my opinion 🙂
This is great, Karen, and I love the ‘pop’ of gold with the heart and the text, Jo x
Well, you created the perfect card for the Inkspirational: XOXO challenge Karen! Love the 3 rows of the XO’s in the pretty mix of colors you used! Wonderful touches of gold on black as well! Thanks for joining us in the challenge! Julia xx
