I’m up on the Memory Box Blog today with a birthday card that, for me, might just be a little over the top! I do love the happy colors!

I wanted a bit of sparkle and glam so started by stenciling a panel with the 6X6 Polkadot stencil using bright pink, teal, and orange inks. For the fourth and final stencil I applied a layer of Pearl Shimmer Relief Paste. I set that aside to let it dry completely while I die cut the largest of the Notched Eyelet Frames from silver metallic cardstock. Then I trimmed down the stenciled panel so it would fit just inside the decorative frame. I used a corner rounder to round the corners of the panel before adhering it to the silver frame. Next, I created a card base from bright pink cardstock and rounded the corners of the card base before adding the decorative panel.

The greeting was stamped with bright pink ink on white cardstock and die cut with the accompanying die. I added it to the card front with dimensional tape. The final touch was to scatter a few crystal clear Fairy Drops for some added sparkle.
I’m sending this off to Addicted to Stamps and More: Birthdays.

I’ll be back a bit later with my entry into the March Woodblock Wednesday group.
What a cheerful birthday card. The colours, the sparkle are make smiles appear – the birthday greeting is stamped in such a vibrant colour – it’s edges are so clean & sharp.
What a fun and festive card! I love the bold, bright colors and I love how you’ve added little things to complement the design – the eyelet frame, the rounded corner, all make the card a bit more put together. Great card, Karen! Thank you so much for joining us at the Addicted to Stamps & More challenge!
What a great stencil to have in your collection! I thought it was patterned paper – and love the idea of shimmer paste for your last layer. What a great all-purpose birthday card, Karen. Thanks for joining Addicted to Stamps & More’s Birthday Challenge. Cathy ATS&M DT
